Yonder

My team had a long term relationship with a company that started as New Knowledge. We created their brand and website, and then years later they returned ready for something entirely new. You see, not only did they want a new brand expression, name, and website, they wanted a whole new identity in the world. This shift was driven by a radical change of perspective for the company: the internet isn’t something to be feared, the internet is something to be understood. In short, they were moving from fear to optimism.

With this knowledge, we spent weeks working as a cross-discipline team to develop a new brand strategy, framework, visual and verbal identity, and a name to match.

We were thrilled when the client selected Yonder as their name. Based in Austin, Texas, they have a warm and hopeful energy that fits so well with the name.

From there, we developed an intriguing visual system of blobs paired with frank, conversational copy. It’s worth mentioning that the tagline “We give a shit about the internet” survived two whole rounds before being reluctantly shut down.

This was a wildly inspiring and challenging project to be a part of, and I’m so glad I got to learn about internet factions along the way.
